The DeKalb High School Student Council is a student run government system that stresses the importance of school and community cohesion. Student Council dedicates all of its time to improving the lives of the DHS students as well as the local community. While the members are hard at work they learn new and exciting skills that will take them far beyond the hallways and classrooms of DHS. Student Council runs the following events and so much more: Homecoming, Prom (Jr. Class), Graduation (Sr. Class), Final Exam Study Nights, Mr. DHS, and Community Volunteerism. We also participate in the Illinois Association of Student Council which allows our members to meet students from schools all over the state to discuss matters related to student-life.
